Do you have any memories of combining Modern Hightech with culture during festival celebration?
Here is one story I want to share
Every year we have Ganesh Festival celebrations in our company
Normally it is celebrated by dressing in traditional dresses, Decorating the office, some fun activities and with nice Food
One year, our team had just finished developing an Android based Walky Talky system for one of our retail customer for using in their warehouses
So the team was completely into the Android world
Normally for festival decoration, we do with a theme
We were searching internet for any idea and suddenly team suggested that can we build Android Ganapati (Indian elephant God of wisdom) for our celebration?
Android Ganapati, wow, what an idea
That brought lot of enthusiasm
The whole team was charged up, everyone started using their creativity, engineering knowledge
Drawings were made. Cutting, pasting, all fun started..
Finally, the team could build a very similar looking replica of Android as Ganapati
Great. Kudos to the whole team for their wonderful creation.
Then we had lot of different games, yummy food..
However, Android Ganapati made lasting impression in the memory
